Syra Coffee "Lattente"
In a culture defined by speed, we chose to slow down.
Latency is our exploration of time as a meaningful ingredient, an invitation to embrace the interval where depth, intention, and experience take shape. Rather than celebrating immediacy, this project honors the value of waiting, observing, and allowing things to unfold at their own pace.
A core pillar of this campaign was Tiempo Compartido (Shared Time), an interactive installation developed in collaboration with Marce de Medeiros and presented at Syra’s new café in Glorieta de Quevedo, Madrid. The installation only comes to life when visitors pause. As they do, three rotating discs gradually align, projecting their patterns onto ceramic cups and leaving a visible imprint of time spent in stillness. Each interaction contributes to a growing collective archive, a record of moments dedicated to slowing down.
We were also delighted to facilitate a collaboration with Bastida For Work on the campaign styling. The iconic workwear brand from Terrassa embodies the spirit of latency through its commitment to craftsmanship, local and sustainable materials, and a slower, more intentional way of making. Their approach reflects the very essence of the project: allowing time to become an active part of the creative process.
Latency is a tribute to the pause. To the moments between actions, where meaning has the opportunity to emerge.
